The Journey to Divine Nails

I am a very spiritual person. I always have been and even though i broke away from my families Christian life, I have had everything I ever asked for come from the Universe and other deities I follow. Life to me is not all about religion and beliefs. It's also about surviving, learning to work, having fun and aiming to do what you have always wanted to do. Life isn't always easy but there is always a way because we find a way. I never got everything I wanted and I still don't, however, when it comes to extra cash so my animals and I can eat, or clothes and shoes to put on my cold body, or even to have something nice for myself, I have asked and I have received.

Growing up, I was never set on what I actually wanted to do and if you know me, then you know I will tell this story numerous times because it is my story. I grew up, oldest of seven, learning how to take care of my younger siblings, cleaning up after everyone else, never being able to go to friend's houses not even when I turned eighteen. I was bribed by my step-dad and my mom to babysit everyday and be on "baby-duty" even while my parents were home. I barely got time to myself and that could be a possible reason I didn't know who I was or what I wanted to do. My siblings always knew, but not me. I would change my mind way too often that people including my family would stop caring. My mind went from wanting to do hair, to be an architect, to learn to code and to be a successful painter. I loved to sing but my mom convinced me that singing was a long shot for people like me and it wouldn't pay bills so I kept it as a hobby.

I have been on my own spiritual journey, recovering from a toxic breakup and focusing on my business. It took me four years of trying to business things: DIY projects, painting, singing, and even tarot. I absolutely love my tarot cards and crystals. I was nineteen and just moved to a small town and wanted to get my nails done but found out Alvinston didn't have a nail salon. It is an old, small town which doesn't have a bank or grocery store either. It's like a modern day 'wild west village'. Well, I started researching how to do nails at home and dreamt of doing them every night until I finally got some supplies. The end of March 2020 is when I started practicing acrylic nails. I bought some nail tips, glue and nail colors from my cousin who lived down the road from me and I went ahead a bought a small starter set of acrylic product from Amazon.

I liked the fact I could be creative and design nails in this really cool way so I continued. I eventually got Suzie's Acrylic Starter Kit here and practiced everyday on myself, my cousins, mom and siblings. My mom hated getting her nails done with the acrylic as she loved press on nails because she could change them up whenever she liked. Ten months later now, I make press on nails (mostly because of covid) and finally found what I wanted to do for a business. My shop is slowly expanding and I have monthly giveaways for customers and ticket buyers. I hope you enjoy my shop!
